Position Summary:

The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for operating shuttle buses on assigned regular routes, ensuring timely, safe, and professional transportation services for passengers. Drivers must provide excellent customer service, comply with safety standards, and maintain the company’s high reputation as a leader in transportation.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regular Route Operation:
    • Operate assigned shuttle buses on pre-determined routes, ensuring adherence to schedules.
    • Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops safely and on time.
    • Communicate schedule changes, delays, or disruptions promptly to dispatch and passengers.
  2. Customer Service:
    • Greet passengers warmly, assist with boarding and exiting, and address inquiries professionally.
    • Provide clear information about stops, schedules, and policies when asked.
    • Maintain a courteous and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive passenger experience.
  3. Safety Compliance:
    • Conduct mandatory pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is safe and roadworthy.
    • Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws as well as company safety policies.
    • Ensure passenger safety by monitoring proper seating and use of safety equipment.
  4. Vehicle Care and Maintenance:
    • Keep the shuttle bus clean and presentable at all times.
    • Monitor fuel, oil, and other fluids, and refuel as needed to avoid disruptions.
    • Report maintenance issues, wear-and-tear, or any incidents to the operations team promptly.
  5. Operational Coordination:
    • Maintain communication with dispatch for updates, route changes, or emergencies.
    • Assist in rerouting or adapting service as required during unexpected events such as traffic delays.
    • Log trips, mileage, and incidents accurately using company systems.
