SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETER

You will serve as a Sign Language Interpreter in the Executive Directorate, code 100020 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.

You will facilitate cultural transitions between American deaf culture and American hearing cultures to assure communication of equivalent messages.

You will coordinate with internal customers, project managers, and other working groups at the activity to provide customer satisfaction and the necessary sign language interpreting services to complete the mission of the organization.

You will serve as the Contractor's Officer Representative responsible for contract administration, policy compliance, oversight and execution of contraction technical tasking.

You will collaboratively develop new terminology to assist the deaf and hard of hearing community and use sign language interpreting to communicate more effectively due to the highly specific and technical jargon at NRL.

You will plan, coordinate, and schedule basic sign language interpreting and deaf and hard of hearing culture training as appropriate.
