Hours

  • School Year: 20–25 hours per week Monday - Thursday 3-6pm Club hours with flexible office hours.
  • Summer: 25–40 hours per week

The Boys & Girls Club of Portage County is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Site Coordinator to lead one of our Club locations. This leadership role is perfect for someone with experience in youth development, education, after-school programming, childcare, recreation, behavioral support, or nonprofit organizations who is passionate about helping young people reach their full potential.

As the Site Coordinator, you'll oversee daily operations, supervise staff, develop engaging programs, build relationships with families and community partners, and ensure every Club member has a safe, fun, and enriching experience.

What You'll Do

Lead Daily Club Operations

  • Oversee the daily operation of an assigned Boys & Girls Club site.
  • Ensure programs are safe, engaging, organized, and aligned with Boys & Girls Club youth development standards.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming environment for youth, families, staff, and visitors.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and child safety standards.

Plan & Deliver High-Quality Youth Programs

  • Coordinate and oversee after-school and summer programs for school-age youth.
  • Support staff in planning engaging activities focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, leadership, and character development.
  • Monitor program quality and participation.
  • Recruit and retain Club members to meet attendance goals.

Support Youth Success

  • Build positive, meaningful relationships with youth and families.
  • Supervise youth during programs and activities.
  • Promote positive behavior using trauma-informed and youth-centered practices.
  • Address behavioral concerns consistently and professionally.
  • Recognize and celebrate member achievements and milestones.

Supervise & Develop Staff

  • Train, coach, supervise, and support Club staff and volunteers.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support hiring, onboarding, and staff development.

Administrative & Financial Responsibilities

  • Maintain attendance records, program participation data, and required documentation.
  • Monitor the site's monthly operating budget and expenses.
  • Complete reports accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with meal program and organizational reporting requirements.

Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with local schools, families, and community organizations.
  • Support marketing efforts by promoting Club programs, events, and membership opportunities.
  • Help increase community awareness and engagement.

Safety & Facility Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained.
  • Follow all Boys & Girls Club, licensing, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain child protection standards at all times.
