Overview of the Role

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, to budget, and to the required quality. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for managing individual areas of work to assist in the completion of the whole project.

What you will do

Main Role

  • Control the works of the labour teams and issue works to firemen, gangs, and sub-contractors in a structured and organised manner.
  • Ensure that all site works are conducted in a safe manner.
  • Champion the Al-Futtaim values.
  • Produce documentation on work performance.
  • Deal with site problems to ensure the project remains on plan.
  • At all times be aware of the value and cost of the materials being used and adopt a suitable approach.
  • Manage subcontractors’ performance.

Operations

  • Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks within the scope of the function.
  • Deliver activities to support operational objectives for their role.
  • Input to planning activities with horizons of typically up to 6 months.
  • Make decisions within parameters set by the line manager, using job/specialist experience.
  • Interact with clients or users around specific work efforts and deliverables.
  • Support the activities of others to meet deadlines and quality standards, taking account of impact outside area of responsibility.
  • Focus work on the completion of a set of related tasks for a particular section or service with the ability to accommodate new tasks.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Ensure that all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls are adhered to so that safety, quality of services, and environmental compliance can be guaranteed within Al-Futtaim Group Real Estate.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices, taking into account the interests and benefits to Al-Futtaim and its employees.

Other Tasks

  • Any other reasonable request of work or task as allocated by the Line Manager.

What Qualifies You for the Role?

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Be a minimum part-qualified professional and have a certificate level of qualification as a minimum.
  • Experience in relevant industry.

Minimum Experience:

  • Likely to have 2-5 years business experience.
