Site Engineer
Summary
Oversee on-site construction activities, resolve technical discrepancies, and coordinate with contractors to ensure project quality, safety, and schedule adherence for civil engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate site works to resolve drawing details and discrepancies for smooth project execution
- Liaise effectively with consultants and subcontractors to address technical and quality issues
- In charge of traffic diversion, drain diversion and footpath diversion.
- Work independently and contribute as a key member of the Site Management team
- Identify and recommend solutions for potential and actual schedule-impacting problems at the site
- Review drawings for conflicts with Structural and M&E disciplines and coordinate with consultants to resolve them
- Monitor work progress against schedules and maintain required quality standards
- Ensure a safe working environment and manage site workers accordingly
- Assist Construction/Project Manager in overseeing daily construction activities and site coordination
- Prepare, submit, and monitor technical drawings, method statements, and shop drawings to support project delivery
- Maintain daily records and prepare monthly site progress reports to track project status
- Manage general on-site technical and engineering matters to ensure compliance and quality control
- Coordinate works with subcontractors to align activities and schedules
- Arrange inspections of works to verify quality and compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficient in MS Office to support documentation and reporting tasks
- Minimum 2 years of site or relevant working experience to perform core site management duties
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field to support technical responsibilities
- Skills in AutoCAD to assist in technical drawing review and preparation
- Experience in LTA projects to add value through relevant project exposure
