Site Engineer
Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise supervisors and workers to ensure compliance with quality procedures and workmanship standards on site
- Inspect and verify quality and quantity of subcontractors’ work to maintain project standards
- Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues by collaborating with the Technical team
- Prepare detailed method statements and work instructions to guide construction activities
- Coordinate site activities with SWC, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
- Liaise with Consultants and the Technical Department on submissions related to structural works
- Plan site works including scheduling programs, construction methods, and forecasting equipment, material, and manpower needs
- Control usage and minimize wastage of resources on site
- Identify potential and actual problems affecting work schedules and recommend effective solutions to relevant teams
- Ensure site works meet high-quality standards and comply with safety requirements throughout the project
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building or civil infrastructure projects of similar scale and complexity
