Site Engineer (Civil & Structural – C&S)

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and detail-oriented Site Engineer to oversee and coordinate Civil & Structural (C&S) construction activities on site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site operations, monitoring construction progress, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and specifications, and coordinating with consultants, subcontractors and workers to ensure the project is completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily Civil & Structural (C&S) site activities.

• Monitor structural construction works, including excavation, foundation, reinforcement, formwork, concreting and structural works.

• Read, interpret and implement construction drawings, structural details and technical specifications.

• Ensure all construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications and requirements.

• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, Resident Engineer (RE), Resident Technical Officer (RTO), subcontractors and suppliers.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and workmanship quality.

• Coordinate and arrange inspections for reinforcement, formwork and concrete works.

• Monitor project schedules and ensure site activities are completed within the required timeframe.

• Identify and resolve technical issues and site-related problems.

• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports and other project documentation.

• Monitor manpower, materials and equipment requirements for site operations.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and project safety requirements.

• Attend site meetings and provide updates on construction progress.

• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.

• 1–3 years of relevant Civil & Structural construction experience preferred.

• Fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn may also be considered.

• Good understanding of structural construction methods and site operations.

• Able to read and interpret structural and construction drawings.

• Familiar with reinforcement, formwork, concreting and other C&S activities.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.

• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willing to work on construction sites when required.
