SITE ENGINEER
Summary
Oversee on-site construction activities, interpret blueprints, and ensure HSE compliance while resolving technical issues for building projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main technical advisor on site, interpreting blueprints and checking design calculations.
- Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site to map out the construction footprint.
- Supervising day-to-day site operations and monitoring contractor performance.
Implementing strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across the site. - Conducting quality control inspections on materials, workmanship, and structural elements.
- Resolving unexpected technical difficulties and design discrepancies on the spot.
- Liaising with clients, architects, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Preparing daily site reports, progress logs, material inventories, and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar site-based construction role.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD) and surveying equipment.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and occupational health and safety laws.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and communication strengths.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
- A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel or work on-site as required.
