Site Engineer - FIFO 2:1 (Sunshine Coast, QLD)

We are working with an established Australian civil construction contractor seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join its experienced project delivery team.

The role will support civil construction projects in mining and infrastructure environments, working on a FIFO/DIDO 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to build their experience in a hands-on site environment, working closely with experienced project and construction teams and gaining exposure to the full delivery lifecycle.

A very attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of the project delivery team, you will assist with a range of site-based engineering and operational activities, including:

• Undertaking QA inspections, testing and quality documentation
• Supporting quality assurance and project close-out activities
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitoring and coordinating day-to-day site activities
• Managing project documentation and site records
• Tracking, coding and processing delivery dockets
• Supporting project administration and reporting
• Assisting with planning and coordination of onsite works
• Working closely with Supervisors, Project Engineers and Project Managers to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification

About You

We’re looking for a motivated Civil Engineer who enjoys being on site and wants to develop their career within the civil construction industry.

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Previous civil construction experience in Australia or New Zealand
• Undergraduate or graduate civil construction experience will be highly regarded
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
• The ability to work effectively as part of a project team
• Current rights to work in Australia
• The ability and willingness to work FIFO/DIDO rosters and travel to project locations
