Site Engineer
Job Description
- Supervise the installation of fire protection systems based on M&E drawings, piping layouts, and schematics.
- Coordinate piping, trunking, and cabling works with other M&E trades to resolve site clashes.
- Conduct testing and commissioning (e.g. pressure, pump flow, and fire alarm tests) and prepare related documentation, method statements, and as-built drawings.
- Liaise with Fire Safety Managers (FSM), Registered Inspectors (RI), and relevant authorities to support inspections and project approvals.
- Inspect fire-rated materials and equipment to ensure compliance with approved specifications and certification requirements.
- Manage subcontractors to ensure quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Fire Safety Engineering.
- Candidate must have a valid Workplace Safety and Health in Process Plant certificate.
- Minimum 2 years site experience specifically handling fire protection or M&E construction projects.
- Familiar with local fire safety regulations, specifically the SCDF Fire Code and relevant Singapore Standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM/Revit.
- Strong understanding of fire pumps, control panels, smoke control fans, and clean agent suppression systems.
