Site Engineer (Kaiapoi, CAN)

We are seeking a Site Engineer for a >$100m scope of works on a large civil construction project in Canterbury. With a 2 year timeline of works, the project consists of earthworks, drainage, pavements, hardstands and foundations. The company offers long term employment and a great pathway to senior roles.

Role

Reporting to the Civils Manager, you'll be liaising with project management staff, site, suppliers and subcontractors to help plan and execute work, ensuring your section of works are completed cost-effectively and on time.

Key requirements:

• Bachelor of Engineering or similar qualification
• Minimum 2 years+ experience in the civil construction industry
• Be based in Canterbury or can relocate yourself in short space of time
• Drainage and Pavements experience ideally
• Quality controls
• Environmental Compliance
• Subcontractor Management

Responsibilities:

• Carry out engineering responsibilities in allocated zone – Drainage, Pavement wearing course and fencing
• Ensure survey set-out and as-built is complete to enable programme
• Development of construction work plans and JSEA
• Assist with cost reporting for relevant scope
• Ensure compliance with the specification and resource consent
• HSE compliance
• Daily records
• Resourcing of work scope
