Site Engineer

Summary

Oversee on-site civil/structural construction activities, interpret drawings, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and compliance with project specs and regulations.

About the role

  • To study tender / construction drawings, specifications and contracts to understand project requirements
  • Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation, according to the Project Management Plan and master construction programme
  • Liaising with consultants on design analysis, design work and design check for approval
  • Liaising with client, QP(D) and QP(S) on design submission and work progress supervision
  • Liaise with consultant for work inspections and to resolve technical issues on site
  • Lead a team of supervisors / foreman for works coordination with main/sub-contractors and/or authorities and/or consultant on project progress and technical issues
  • Supervise sub-contractor's activities & accomplishments.
  • Planning and deployment of resources such as manpower, machinery, equipment and material
  • Preparation of progress report, Method Statements and technical submissions
  • Ensure the project complies with regulations and clients’ specifications
  • Adhere to safety and health regulations and aim for zero accident in the workplace
  • Ensure safety and housekeeping are maintain to the highest standard
  • To perform Ad-Hoc duties as per assigned

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Engineer in the civil/structural engineering industry
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the project team and stakeholders
  • Thorough understanding of construction methods, safety protocols, and quality management principles
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices
