Responsibilities
- Assist the Construction Manager (CM) in preparing, reviewing, and submitting the JKRS Dashboard, MPR, and other monthly progress reports.
- Support the CM in coordinating and managing stakeholder engagement with clients, authorities, and local communities.
- Assist in reviewing contractual matters with the Contract Department, including preparing documentation and recommendations for the Superintending Officer (S.O.) and JKR Sarawak's approval.
- Participate in site inspections, discussions, and meetings to resolve construction-related issues and ensure project progress.
- Assist in verifying completed works with consultants and processing contractors' progress claims within the required timeline.
- Review and verify contractor submissions to ensure all required project documentation is complete and compliant.
- Monitor and verify contractors' work programmes, project progress, and resource utilisation, and recommend mitigation plans where necessary in accordance with JKR Action Gate requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
- At least 5 years of working experience in the road construction and bridge.
- Understanding of civil engineering principles and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
