SITE ENGINEER

Job Description

  • Manage and supervise daily construction activities at the project site.
  • Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to ensure works are carried out according to the approved schedule.
  • Study and interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
  • Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship and quality of completed works.
  • Prepare and maintain site records, inspection requests, progress reports, method statements, and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate site measurements and assist with quantity verification and progress claims where required.
  • Monitor work progress and highlight delays, technical issues, and potential site constraints to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of works to minimise clashes and construction delays.
  • Attend site meetings and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant parties.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with workplace safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in achieving project targets for time, cost, quality, and safety.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant site experience in building or construction projects.
  • Experience in HDB BTO / residential building projects will be highly advantageous.
  • Candidates with experience working for a main contractor are preferred.
  • Good knowledge of construction methods, site coordination, and reading of architectural/structural drawings.
  • Familiar with Singapore construction practices, statutory requirements, and relevant authorities.
  • Good understanding of QA/QC and WSH requirements.
  • Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD and relevant construction software will be an advantage.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Willing to work on construction sites and support project requirements when necessary.
