Site Engineer

Job Description & Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director and manage the day-to-day coordination and supervision of site activities.
  • Plan, schedule and monitor site works to ensure projects are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, construction requirements and project schedules.
  • Lead and supervise site teams of up to 25 personnel and coordinate works with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Handle on-site technical matters, including site measurements, review of shop drawings and resolution of construction issues.
  • Prepare and review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, progress reports and other required site documentation.
  • Coordinate with Professional Engineers, consultants, clients and relevant government agencies, including LTA, BCA, HDB and PUB, where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, site safety procedures and regulatory requirements, including conducting or coordinating Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and ensuring safe work practices on site.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring works are completed according to schedule, quality requirements and approved budget.
  • Perform other project or site-related duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience in LTA, HDB, and/or PUB projects will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of site coordination, work planning, scheduling and construction supervision.
  • * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
  • Able to prepare and review site-related technical and safety documentation.
  • Good problem-solving and coordination skills with the ability to handle technical and site-related issues.
  • Able to lead and coordinate site personnel effectively.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
  • Able to manage multiple site responsibilities and work within project schedules.
  • Willing and able to work a 6-day work week and day or night shifts where required due to project and site operational requirements.
