Site Engineer
Job Description & Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Report to the Director and manage the day-to-day coordination and supervision of site activities.
- Plan, schedule and monitor site works to ensure projects are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, construction requirements and project schedules.
- Lead and supervise site teams of up to 25 personnel and coordinate works with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Handle on-site technical matters, including site measurements, review of shop drawings and resolution of construction issues.
- Prepare and review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, progress reports and other required site documentation.
- Coordinate with Professional Engineers, consultants, clients and relevant government agencies, including LTA, BCA, HDB and PUB, where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, site safety procedures and regulatory requirements, including conducting or coordinating Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and ensuring safe work practices on site.
- Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring works are completed according to schedule, quality requirements and approved budget.
- Perform other project or site-related duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects is preferred.
- Experience in LTA, HDB, and/or PUB projects will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of site coordination, work planning, scheduling and construction supervision.
- * Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, shop drawings and technical specifications.
- Able to prepare and review site-related technical and safety documentation.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills with the ability to handle technical and site-related issues.
- Able to lead and coordinate site personnel effectively.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a project team.
- Able to manage multiple site responsibilities and work within project schedules.
- Willing and able to work a 6-day work week and day or night shifts where required due to project and site operational requirements.
