SITE ENGINEER
Job Summary
Support the Project Manager by coordinating and supervising construction activities to ensure timely, compliant, and quality project delivery within budget and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction works in collaboration with the Project Manager to ensure project milestones are met
- Monitor site progress against approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules to maintain project timelines
- Coordinate project-related communications and activities with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and issue resolution
- Prepare method statements, work schedules, progress reports, and other project documentation to support project tracking and compliance
- Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment
- Identify and resolve technical and site issues promptly to minimize project delays and maintain workflow continuity
- Monitor material usage and assist in controlling project costs to support budget adherence
- Attend site meetings and document meeting minutes to facilitate effective communication and follow-up actions
- Ensure all construction activities comply with company policies and relevant Singapore regulations to uphold standards
- Perform additional engineering and project-related duties as assigned by management to support project success
Required competencies and certifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications to guide site activities
- Knowledge of construction methods, project coordination, and site management to effectively oversee works
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to prepare documentation and reports
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the building or construction industry
- Willingness to work at construction sites and travel between project locations as required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Knowledge of AutoCAD to support technical drawing review and project planning
- Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements in Singapore to enhance site safety compliance
- Strong communication and coordination skills to facilitate stakeholder engagement and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
