Site Engineer
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a skilled Site Engineer to take charge of the engineering and technical elements of our construction projects, with a sharp focus on quality control. In this role, you’ll ensure works meet contract specifications, champion health, safety, and environmental standards, and support our culture of excellence on site.
Location: Yorkshire Region
What you will be doingEnsuring that the project works comply with the requirements of the contract specification and drawings etc. and maintaining appropriate records to confirm such complianceMaintaining excellent and effective working relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisorsImplementing Tilbury Douglas Construction's Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development etc. and acting as an exemplar of the Company culture and valuesImplementing the Companies Business Management SystemImplement the Asite as the project CDE and Integrated Management SystemBeing proactive in the identification and resolution of problemsSupporting initiatives to deliver ongoing continuous improvementLine management responsibilities, including the undertaking of annual appraisal and development for junior members of staff
What we will need from youAppropriate technical knowledge and main contractor construction experienceDegree (or similar equivalent) in a relevant construction subject Experience (Graduate + 2 years min) in a similar role as a Site Engineer working for a main contractorSMSTS qualificationAppropriate CSCS CardGood interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to use own initiative and apply logical and critical thinkingRobust analytical and problem solving skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to plan and manage time
