The Site Inspector for the Tunnel Casting Yard is responsible for the day-to-day inspection, monitoring, and quality control of all activities related to the production of pre-cast concrete tunnel lining segments. This role is critical to ensuring that every segment manufactured meets the stringent project specifications, design drawings, and quality standards before it is transported to the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) for installation. The inspector will act as the primary on-site authority for quality assurance throughout the entire segment production lifecycle, from raw material inspection to final storage.
Requirements
- Inspect daily pre-cast segment production at the casting yard, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, mix design, and quality standards.
- Monitor reinforcement, formwork, concreting, curing, and demoulding activities to ensure adherence to safety and QA/QC requirements.
- Verify material quality (cement, aggregates, admixtures, steel) and check test results for concrete strength and durability.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs, and checklists, and coordinate with contractors for corrective actions.
- Ensure HSE compliance at the casting yard, addressing unsafe practices and supporting audits and site inspections.
