About the role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Manager takes full ownership of day-to-day site operations — driving progress against program while maintaining standards in quality, safety and environmental control, and ensuring manpower, materials and equipment are in place when the works demand them.
Key responsibilities
Planning and delivery
- Plan and execute site works in line with the approved master program, ensuring resources are deployed to meet milestones.
- Forecast and monitor site resource requirements — manpower, materials, plant and machinery, and site facilities — to keep works progressing without delay.
- Review drawings ahead of construction and resolve technical issues with the Technical Department before they affect site progress.
Coordination
- Chair site meetings and coordinate between project staff, internal departments, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare progress reports, meeting minutes and site documentation.
Quality, safety and environment
- Ensure all works are carried out to specifications, approved drawings and approved method statements.
- Enforce safety and environmental compliance on site, and review safety documentation jointly with the Safety Department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building/Construction Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in residential construction, with at least 2 years in a site supervisory or management capacity.
- Working knowledge of BCA and MOM regulatory requirements, including WSH standards.
- Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors concurrently.
Advantageous
- Prior HDB project experience.
- Familiarity with CONQUAS and QM standards.
- Relevant WSH certification (e.g. Site Supervisor / Construction Safety Course).
