Site Planner

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of tender schedules, baseline programmes, manpower deployment plans, resource allocations, and equipment schedules for assigned projects.

  • Work closely with the project management team to establish project execution strategies, implementation schedules, critical milestones, and overall planning objectives.

  • Produce and maintain project planning documents, including programme narratives, planning reports, and supporting documentation required throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Develop and analyse project performance metrics, including S-curves, dashboards, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), to measure progress against planned targets.

  • Prepare project planning presentations, highlighting project scope, critical milestones, and key deliverables during project commencement.

  • Coordinate with the design team to ensure engineering and design deliverables are issued in accordance with the approved master schedule, while providing regular progress updates.

  • Review, update, and maintain master programmes, target schedules, and detailed short-term programmes to reflect project progress and changing site conditions.

  • Monitor construction activities against approved schedules and prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports, identifying delays and recommending recovery measures where necessary.

  • Evaluate existing planning and scheduling practices, introducing improvements that enhance project control and align with current industry standards.

  • Coordinate the planning and monitoring of architectural, structural, and MEP activities, ensuring works carried out by project teams and subcontractors comply with approved programmes, specifications, and construction drawings.

  • Support project teams in identifying scheduling risks, forecasting project outcomes, and implementing mitigation strategies to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore or the Building and Construction Authority (BCA).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of planning and scheduling experience on building construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of Singapore construction practices, planning methodologies, and project scheduling standards.

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for programme development and schedule management.

  • Experience with 4D BIM planning and construction sequencing will be an added advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive programmes, resource histograms, programme narratives, and progress reports independently.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
