Site Quality Lead
Summary
Leads quality initiatives at a semiconductor manufacturing site, ensuring accurate reporting, problem-solving, and corrective actions to meet customer expectations and improve performance.
Position Summary
This is an on-site (resident) role. The Site Quality Lead owns site quality execution and reporting accuracy, leads problem solving and corrective action effectiveness validation, and drives cross-functional alignment to improve quality performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the accuracy and completeness of quality reporting (e.g., detailed problem descriptions, SAP damage code selection, customer impact level).
· Execute site quality objectives and track progress against defined targets.
· Build and apply expertise in problem statement creation, root cause analysis, and corrective action effectiveness validation (e.g., 5-Why, Ishikawa/Fishbone).
· Analyze quality data to identify trends and patterns and drive required improvements.
· Assess site performance against customer expectations and drive gap-closure actions.
· Partner with the site team and relevant stakeholders to resolve high-priority customer concerns and improve Lam’s quality performance.
· Communicate changes in customer impact to the Factory and ensure in-progress 8D documentation is updated accordingly.
· Drive process improvements and share best-known methods (BKMs) to improve results.
· Utilize Lam escalation processes to address business process non-compliance.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
Experience (meet one of the following):
4+ years in the semiconductor industry or 4+ years in quality management; or
10+ years in quality-related roles outside the semiconductor industry.
Tools/Skills: Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI (PBI), and/or SQN (or equivalent quality/data systems).
Personal Attributes: Able to work independently, perform well under pressure, strong communication skills, and fluent in English.
Travel: Willing and able to support short-term domestic and international business travel.
