Site Reliability Engineer
What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire an Site Reliability Engineer within our Prepaid card division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. This role will improve the reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of the systems that power Corpay's Prepaid business across both on-premise infrastructure and cloudnative workloads in AWS. A major focus will be reducing manual work, improving deployment and recovery processes, strengthening observability, and increasing automation across Corpay managed and vendor-provided technology. Just as importantly, this role will help influence how engineering teams design and operate systems by promoting robust, scalable, automated choices rather than relying on manual operational processes. As Corpay becomes an AI-native software engineering organization, this engineer will leverage AI to accelerate troubleshooting, automation, incident analysis, documentation, and delivery while applying strong engineering judgment. The Site Reliability Engineer is accountable for delivering high-quality software while developing people, improving engineering practices, and partnering closely with Product Management and business stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Software Engineering Manager in the Prepaid division.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
Identifying reliability risks and opportunities for automation across applications, infrastructure, and vendor-provided technology.
Designing and implementing automation that improves system resilience and team effectiveness.
Improving monitoring, observability, alerting, and the team's ability to quickly understand and resolve production issues.
Translating reliability concerns into practical technical guidance for developer teammates.
Troubleshooting complex issues across applications, infrastructure, and third-party platforms and driving them to durable resolution.
Improving CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and other engineering practices that make software delivery safer and more repeatable.
Applying incident learnings to improve systems, automation, and operational practices.
Leveraging AI to accelerate software delivery, troubleshooting, and modernization.
Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders, and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science/related field or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services, as well as traditional on-premise infrastructure.
Demonstrated ability to apply modern SRE practices to improve reliability, resilience, and team efficiency.
Experience with modern CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and observability practices.
Experience leveraging generative AI across software development, testing, delivery, or operations.
Experience designing and operating highly available, scalable, self-healing systems in complex environments.
Experience with Git and modern source control workflows.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills.

Pay Transparency
The expected salary range for this position is $157,000 – $190,000 based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
