Summary
Site Reliability Engineer supporting a long-term consulting engagement on a large-scale Azure cloud transformation for a global enterprise. Day to day: infrastructure as code with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps/Git, L2/L3 incident management with Datadog and Azure Monitor, and support of Azure data/analytics services. Hybrid role based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Emagine is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to support a large-scale cloud transformation programme within a global enterprise environment. This role focuses on Azure infrastructure, automation, platform reliability, and DevOps practices, helping accelerate secure and scalable cloud adoption through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
What You'll Be Working On
Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git to enable secure, reliable, and repeatable deployments.
Provide operational support and continuous improvement for cloud data and analytics platforms, ensuring high levels of reliability, performance, and security.
Manage L2/L3 incidents using monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog and Azure Monitor.
Automate cloud operations, including account provisioning, service principal management, and certificate lifecycle processes.
Support Azure data services including Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Explorer, Event Hubs, Event Grid, IoT Hub, SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Azure Machine Learning.
Collaborate with international teams to drive DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud reliability initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering.
Strong expertise in Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
4+ years of Azure experience, including services such as Storage Accounts, Data Factory, Synapse, SQL Database, Azure Machine Learning, and Cost Management.
Experience supporting cloud-based data processing and analytics platforms.
Good understanding of networking, Active Directory, SSL, security principles, and cloud operations.
Strong scripting skills using Python, Bash, Shell, or similar.
Experience with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows Server.
Professional fluency in English.
Nice to Have
Experience with Datadog, Grafana, or other monitoring and observability platforms.
Exposure to Azure AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics platforms.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and platform engineering practices.
Experience working in large international enterprise environments.
Cloud governance, security, or compliance experience.
Location & Eligibility
Candidates must be based in Portugal.
Hybrid role in Lisbon.
Ability to collaborate with international teams, including stakeholders based in France.
