Client introduction

Our client is an established fintech headquartered in Singapore, operating across cross-border payments and foreign exchange.

As the business continues to scale, they are strengthening the reliability and production support function that keeps their live platforms stable. This is a newly created Site Reliability Engineer (Production Support) role within the SRE team, reporting to the Head of SRE.

The role starts as a hands-on individual contributor, with a genuine path to grow into a lead position over the next one to two years as part of succession planning.

Job responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day production support across live FX and payments platforms.
  • Monitor production environments and respond to alerts, incidents and system issues.
  • Investigate production issues by reviewing dashboards, logs, metrics and application behaviour.
  • Use monitoring and log aggregation tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, OpenSearch, Kibana and Logstash.
  • Configure, refine and improve alerts so issues are detected early and escalated properly.
  • Lead incident response, root-cause analysis and follow-up actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Write Bash and Python scripts to automate support activities, improve troubleshooting and reduce manual work.
  • Work with product, operations, engineering and infrastructure teams to route and resolve issues effectively.
  • Set up production support, monitoring and incident-response processes for new products and platform changes.
  • Maintain runbooks, operational documentation and support procedures.
  • Assist with technical client integration or onboarding issues when needed, alongside a dedicated client-support team.
  • Over time, grow into a broader lead role within the production support and SRE function.

Job requirements

  • At least 7 years in production support, application support, site reliability or technical operations.
  • Experience supporting production systems in a bank or financial institution is advantageous.
  • Strong experience supporting live production environments - alerts, incidents, troubleshooting, escalation and operational follow-through.
  • Hands-on with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or similar) and log aggregation tools (OpenSearch, Kibana, Logstash, ELK, Splunk or similar).
  • Good scripting ability in Bash, Python or similar.
  • Able to troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics, dashboards, application behaviour and system indicators.
  • Familiarity with incident management, RCA, SLA/SLO practice, runbooks and production support processes.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, cloud environments or containerised applications is useful.
  • QA, UAT or release-validation exposure is a plus, but not the main focus of the role.
  • Client-facing experience is a plus but can be trained - the more important requirement is strong production support and troubleshooting ability.

Why you should join them

  • Newly created role with a genuine path to grow into a lead position over time.
  • Strong ownership across production support, monitoring, incident response and platform stability.
  • Work on live FX and payments platforms within a growing fintech environment.
  • Broad exposure across production operations, SRE practice, monitoring, scripting, support processes and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Direct exposure to the Head of SRE and the engineering, infrastructure, product and operations teams.
  • A chance to shape how production support and reliability processes mature as the business scales.
