Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Grafana Observability

Start date: 1st of October

End date: 3 months with possible extension

Location: On-site in Stockholm 2-3 days a week

Scope: Full-time, 100 %

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with in-depth Grafana expertise to join our observability effort as a fully embedded team member. The role bridges two audiences: the core Grafana platform team, which the SRE will support on setups and configuration changes, and the wider Grafana user base - primarily development teams, but also functions such as the Core Operations team - who need hands-on help adopting Grafana for their day-to-day monitoring needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a full embedded team member supporting development teams with migration onboarding to Grafana.

• Assist the core Grafana team with setups and changes in Grafana itself - either by executing the work directly and/or by giving direction and instructions to other team members.

• Assist Grafana users - mainly development teams, but also functions such as the Core Operations team - in adopting Grafana, including setting up dashboards and configuring alerts.

• Provide guidance and best practices to teams migrating from other observability tools onto Grafana.

Required Skills & Experience

• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of Grafana (dashboards, alerting, data sources, administration/configuration).

• Senior-level experience - able to work independently and to direct/guide other engineers, not a junior profile.

• Excellent communication skills are essential - the role interfaces daily with both a technical core team and a broad base of development teams.

• Comfortable following an established Scrum way of working.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with related observability tools, e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Elastic/Kibana - particularly useful as some teams will be migrating from these tools.
