Summary

Oversee on-site civil and geotechnical construction activities, including deep excavation and foundation works, while managing teams and ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Job Duties

  • Assist the Construction Manager in planning, coordinating, and scheduling manpower, equipment, and construction activities.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and delivered on time while meeting quality standards.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to identify and fulfill project requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilization, and provide regular progress updates to the Construction Manager.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve site operational issues, technical challenges, and emergency situations.
  • Oversee foundation, deep excavation, and geotechnical construction activities, including Hydrofraise operations where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil, infrastructure, geotechnical, underground, or foundation construction projects.
  • Proven experience in managing complex foundation and retaining structure works, including Diaphragm Walls, Hydrofraise construction, CFA Piles, Bored Piles, and deep excavation works.
  • Strong knowledge of Hydrofraise techniques, heavy excavator operations, and other specialized equipment used in foundation and geotechnical projects.
  • Good understanding of construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and site coordination requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead site teams, supervise multiple subcontractors, and manage site operations effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
