Oversees residential construction projects with volunteers, ensuring plans are followed and safety standards are met while managing on-site activities in Atlanta.
The Site Superintendent in Training oversees functions critical to the success of the mission – construction with volunteers and the planning behind it.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Leading volunteers on build days
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and understanding house plans
- Monitoring construction process on non-build days
- Assisting with construction-related inventory monitoring
- Serving as a liaison to the homebuyers during the construction process
- Master the carpentry, roofing, finish, and volunteer management skills listed in the Site Superintendent In Training Qualifications document.
- Complete all required routine (e.g., OSHA Fall Protection, CPR & First Aid, Volunteer Management) and special training.
- Provide input to the Volunteer Skilled Supervisor (VSS) Training Matrix, including ideas for training additional VSS.
- Attend weekly Construction Team meetings and all–staff meetings as scheduled.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support departmental & Atlanta Habitat for Humanity policies & procedures.
- Serve as an ambassador for Atlanta Habitat, assisting volunteers and sponsors in obtaining any information they need to get involved on an ongoing basis.
