Job Summary

The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily construction site activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The role involves coordinating workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with project schedules.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
  • Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards and identify defects.
  • Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and site resources.
  • Prepare daily site reports, progress updates, and documentation.
  • Resolve on-site issues and provide practical solutions to maintain workflow.
  • Attend site meetings and toolbox briefings.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and site organization.
  • Assist with inspections, testing, and project handover activities.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Construction, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in construction site supervision.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Site Supervisor Safety Course certification (where applicable).
  • Experience in building, civil, infrastructure, or M&E projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
