The Ski and Ride Support staff will serve as a professional representative of Snowbasin Resort. They will be a member of an interdependent team dedicated to creating the best possible environment for taking and teaching a ski or snowboard lesson. Not only will they work with guests, but also with other employees, fulfilling a high level of guest service to all.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Recognizes that service is our product and helping guests have great experiences is our primary job.
- Assist in lesson set up and child supervision before and after lessons
- Assist in with children’s lunch process and able to obtain Food Handlers Permit
- Assist with lessons on-snow, by riding the chairlift with children, and/or other duties as assigned.
- Set up and tear down of children’s facilities including but not limited to fencing and toys.
- Greets and assists guests in a friendly, helpful, respectful manner.
- Provides exceptional customer service to guests, such as giving directions and resort information.
- LISTENS to guest’s needs and concerns.
- Reads and complies with Snowbasin Employee Handbook and Ski/Snowboard procedures, including grooming, dress and behavior standards.
- Supplies personal ski and snowboard equipment and maintains it in a safe, functional and attractive condition. Ability to ski/snowboard will be necessary.
- Appreciates that teamwork is essential for the success of the guests, Ski and Ride Department and Resort.
- Cooperates with all Resort employees and co-workers in the performance of their duties.
- Maintains good humor and cooperative attitude in all dealings with guests, co-workers and supervisors.
- Looks for ways to better serve the guests, Snow Sports Department and Resort.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY:
- Operate with a safety-first mindset
- Promptly report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor and/or appropriate department(s).
- Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor and appropriate department(s), following documented procedures.
- Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resort’s Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.
- Operate equipment in a safe manner
