Join Us as a Skills Instructor
As a Skills Instructor, you'll work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them cultivate essential skills for successful employment, meaningful volunteer work, pursuing post-secondary education, and active community participation in various settings to achieve greater independence.

What You'll Do

  • Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
  • Support individuals in accessing community resources, planning engaging activities, and strengthening their skill sets.
  • Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day.
  • Track and document progress, capturing accurate and concise case notes.
  • Redirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions to challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

What You Bring

  • A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and insurance.
  • Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
  • CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed).
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus—but if you bring passion and dedication, we’ll provide the training.
