Slab Yard Inspector

-Measure slabs – must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16” and understand +/- requirements

-Basic Math Skills

-Data Entry – use tablets to enter dimensions, locations and other information

-Inspect slabs for bow and surface defects

-Fill out inspection forms per customer requirements – attention to detail

-Scanner – use scanners to check inventory

-Follow written and verbal instructions

-Standing for long periods of time

-Walking distances in building and slab yards

-Work around heavy mobile equipment, trucks and overhead cranes

-Maintain orderly clean work area

-Wear required PPE

-Follow all QSOPs and maintain safe work environment

-These are the basic requirements, other tasks assigned as needed
