Sleep Technologist
Summary
Performs sleep studies by setting up patients, operating polysomnography equipment, collecting data, and assisting with CPAP therapy and report generation in a hospital setting.
You will be responsible for performing quality polysomnography services which include the preparation of patients for sleep study, calibration of equipment, collection of sleep study data and interpretation of data. You will ensure the safe and accurate use of Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy and appropriate mask fitting. In addition, you will assist in generating sleep study reports, as well as participate in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science or health sciences related discipline.
- Relevant experience in electroencephalogram (EEG) studies will be advantageous.
- Able to perform shift duties
