About the Role

As a PRN SLP in a skilled nursing setting, you'll provide evaluation and treatment services for residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, collaborating closely with the interdisciplinary care team.

SNF Practice Highlights

  • Evaluate and treat residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and dysphagia-related needs

  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care focused on safety, function, and quality of life

  • Conduct swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies

  • Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and therapy teams to support resident care plans

  • Provide education to residents, families, and staff as appropriate

  • Competency training available - support provided for clinicians new to or growing within the SNF setting

Requirements

  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in good standing

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • ASHA CCC-SLP preferred

  • Organized, self-directed, and patient-focused

  • Passion for working with the geriatric population

  • Skilled nursing facility experience is preferred, but motivated clinicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply
