Company…
The Company
is a leading not-for-profit microenterprise development organization that
exists to help Indigenous and other Australians in disadvantaged circumstances
to improve their situations through provision of microenterprise and community
economic development support. Their purpose is to work alongside individuals
and communities, offering accessible business development support, products and
services, including pro-bono legal advice and microfinance and business loans.
To assist with expansion of their services in the North West NSW region, they
are looking for a suitably experienced Business Coach.
The
Position…
In this position as a Small Business Coach (Microenterprise Development
Manager), you will have a portfolio of clients with the objective to
provide individualized coaching to allow clients to start, stay and thrive in
their own business.
Some of the key responsibilities
include:
- Promoting
and establishing relationships and key networks with local stakeholders,
such as Job Actives, TAFE Colleges, Indigenous and community leaders, and
relevant organizations and associations.
- Providing
individual business coaching to your clients by offering guidance,
encouragement and assistance across all key areas of business development
with the goal of establishing to start their own business.
- Where
required, provide finance and other product support as the clients
prepare, start, sustain and grow their business.
- Managing
client loan applications and preparing loan credit committee
recommendations, and loan portfolio management.
Ideal
Candidate...
The Ideal Candidate may be
someone who may have run their own business, been a business coach or have
associated experience, with a strong financial or banking background. Have
community development or social enterprise experience having managed budgets
and business plans. We are looking for motivated self-starters who
are energized by challenges and the opportunity to help people move themselves
ahead in business and out of welfare dependency.
Key requirements:
- Tertiary
qualifications in business, finance or community development (or
equivalent)
- A
strong understanding of small business operations, including cash flow and
viability
- The
ability to lead, mentor, coach and educate individuals in the program through both
face-to-face and video conference.
- Experience
in data analysis and business plans
- Highly
developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain
client relationships
- Ability
to work in an autonomous, dynamic and flexible work environment with an
emphasis on high level of customer service.
- Experience
with Stakeholder engagement, including presentations and workshops.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, incl. highly developed
interpersonal skills with an ability to relate with a wide range of
people, in a variety of settings
- Current
driver’s license and the ability to frequent intra-regional travel is
required
