Small Diameter Pipe Torch Cutter

The Small Diameter Pipe Torch Cutter is responsible for accurately cutting small-diameter industrial and agricultural pipe using an oxy-acetylene or similar torch system. This role ensures that all cuts meet quality and safety standards while supporting production schedules. The position operates in a non-climate-controlled shop and requires physical stamina for lifting and handling materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate oxy-acetylene or similar torch equipment to cut small-diameter pipe to specified lengths.
- Follow precise measurements and specifications to ensure accurate cuts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of cut pipe and scrap material.
- Inspect cut pieces for quality, straightness, and compliance with standards.
- Assist with material handling, including lifting, moving, and staging pipe as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe torch handling procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Support other team members with fabrication and production tasks as assigned.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned
