Small Engine Service Technician — GEBO’S (Plainview, TX)
Pay: $22 - $26 per hour, depending on experience
GEBO’S is opening its first service and repair center in Plainview, TX, and we're hiring an experienced Small Engine Service Technician to help launch our service department.
We need a tech who can diagnose and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment — mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, generators, UTVs, and more — with minimal hand-holding, and who takes pride in doing the job right the first time.
What you'll do:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on small engines and outdoor power equipment
- Perform overhauls and preventative maintenance
- Test equipment before it goes back to the customer
- Keep clear, accurate work order and repair notes
- Help set up shop workflows and tooling standards as a founding member of our service team
- Mentor future techs as we grow
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of hands-on small engine / outdoor power equipment repair experience
- Manufacturer certifications preferred (Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines, electrical, and fuel systems
- Ability to weld is helpful
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Pride in quality workmanship
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on experience
