SMALL EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Operates small to mid-sized heavy civil construction equipment in support of general site development and infrastructure projects throughout Central Florida. Works on a miscellaneous field crew performing a variety of tasks including excavation, grading, material handling, and site preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, compact track loaders, rollers, and small dozers
• Perform general excavation, grading, and backfilling for site work projects
• Assist with clearing, rough grading, and site preparation activities
• Move and stage materials, aggregate, and construction supplies
• Support field crews with various tasks as directed by foreman or superintendent
• Maintain safe and efficient equipment operation around active job sites
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Follow grade stakes, markings, and general site layout instructions

Requirements:

• 2+ years of equipment operating experience in heavy civil or site work construction
• Ability to safely operate multiple types of small equipment
• Basic understanding of grading and site preparation concepts
• Experience working in Central Florida conditions (sand, heat, wet ground, and variable terrain) preferred
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist in multiple phases of construction
• Reliable transportation to job sites across Central Florida
