Key Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates using approved estimating tools.
  • Carry out minor cosmetic repairs on customer and site vehicles in line with manufacturer standards and Minor Damage Repair techniques.
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Maintain repairs within Minor Damage Repair parameters where possible, with occasional larger repairs undertaken if required.
  • Ensure effective and economical use of materials and dry goods during repairs.
  • Keep the working environment clean, organised, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety policies, ensuring safe working practices and correct use of equipment, materials, and PPE.
  • Drive and manoeuvre both customer and site vehicles safely within the dealership premises.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with the Accident Repair Co-ordinator regarding repair progress and requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues while also demonstrating the ability to work independently using initiative.
  • Attend manufacturer and company training courses, including Toyota training, as required.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary to support the wider needs of the business.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience carrying out Minor Damage Repairs or working in a vehicle repair/paint environment.
  • Experience estimating vehicle damage using industry estimating systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
