Description
The SMP Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and closing projects within scope, schedule, quality, and budget requirements. The role works closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and business objectives.
Responsibilities
Project Planning &Execution
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Lead project execution from initiation through completion.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when required.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates.
- Manage expectations and ensure effective communication across all project teams.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors/vendors.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
- Track project expenditures and monitor financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project objectives.
- Ensure proper approval and documentation for project-related expenses.
Requirements
Preferably bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferably Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Preferably 10 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas or related industries, at least 5 years in Superintendent or Managerial position.
Preferably knowledge in process plant maintenance and ability to manage projects
