Summary
Operate a swim club concession stand, serve customers, handle cash transactions, and maintain food safety and cleanliness during shifts.
The Logan Snack Shack Associate will contribute to the mission, vision, and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by operating the JCC Logan Campus concession stand and creating a high quality customer service environment for patrons of Logan Campus with standards of excellence.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
- Welcome guests who approach the concession stand and respond to all customer inquiries in a professional, friendly manner
- Take orders for food and beverages and prepare food items using appropriate quantities of ingredients, being sure to follow proper sanitation guidelines during food preparation and presentation
- Operate point-of-sale system, completing cash, credit card, and member account payment transactions in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure that all received cash is well-accounted for, stored in a safe area, and balanced during each shift change
- Participate in the set-up of concession stand, arranging inventory of supplies and communicating shortages to supervisor
- Perform ongoing clean-up duties during each shift and ensure that concession stand is sanitized and tidied up at the end of each shift
- Handle light bookkeeping duties by creating and maintaining reports of cash received against food and beverage items sold
- Clean and maintain food preparation equipment including grills and ovens on a regular basis
- Be familiar with and enact emergency protocols and other policies to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all members and guests, referring problems to appropriate staff as needed
- Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and lay leaders as part of the JCC team, including attending staff meetings as needed
- Adhere to all JCC and departmental policies
- Complete all additional duties as assigned by supervisor
