Project Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a cross-functional, international team responsible for designing and maintaining a modern data infrastructure built on Snowflake and AWS. You will play a key role in shaping a data architecture that supports scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions for a large German organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize Snowflake and AWS-based data architectures
Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely and reliable data delivery
Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions
Design and evolve data warehouse models to support analytics and BI
Ensure data quality and consistency through automated checks and monitoring
Document data infrastructure, processes, and architecture decisions
Recommend and implement performance and cost optimizations for cloud data platforms
Act as a subject matter expert for Snowflake best practices and data architecture standards
Requirements
4+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse platform
Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS (Azure/GCP experience is a plus)
Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or Alteryx
Deep knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture principles
Familiarity with DevOps and Agile development practices
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Proficient in English (minimum B2)
