Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to join a cross-functional, international team responsible for designing and maintaining a modern data infrastructure built on Snowflake and AWS. You will play a key role in shaping a data architecture that supports scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions for a large German organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize Snowflake and AWS-based data architectures

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to ensure timely and reliable data delivery

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into robust data solutions

  • Design and evolve data warehouse models to support analytics and BI

  • Ensure data quality and consistency through automated checks and monitoring

  • Document data infrastructure, processes, and architecture decisions

  • Recommend and implement performance and cost optimizations for cloud data platforms

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Snowflake best practices and data architecture standards

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field

  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data warehouse platform

  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms, especially AWS (Azure/GCP experience is a plus)

  • Proficient in SQL and familiar with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

  • Experience with ETL tools such as Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, or Alteryx

  • Deep knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture principles

  • Familiarity with DevOps and Agile development practices

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Proficient in English (minimum B2)
