Snowflake Data Engineer
Summary
A data engineer role with NTT in Central London, building and maintaining data pipelines on Snowflake and cloud-native platforms across the full data lifecycle (ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, consumption) in client-facing consulting engagements.
Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year

- We need experience leading or mentoring teams of engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable data solutions.
- We need deep expertise with Snowflake features, including warehouses, Snowpark, data sharing, and performance tuning.
- We need proficiency in ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, Talend, or equivalent.
- We need strong SQL and Python, or equivalent language, skills for data manipulation and automation.
- We need hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- We need knowledge of data modelling methodologies such as star schemas, Data Vault, Kimball, and Inmon.
- We need familiarity with data lake architectures and distributed processing frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop.
- We need experience with version control tools such as GitHub and Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
- We need understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Exposure to AI/ML workloads is desirable.
- We need 5–8 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles, with at least 3+ years working with Snowflake.
- We require a university degree.
- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Core and Advanced are highly desirable.
- We engage with clients to deliver data solutions.
- We develop data pipelines for batch and streaming use cases.
- We work with Snowflake and cloud data platforms to build and optimize modern data ecosystems.
- We design and implement data architecture and modelling solutions.
- We collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- We follow best practices for delivery, governance, quality, and security.
- We help ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable data pipelines aligned to client requirements.
- We contribute reusable assets, accelerators, and technical leadership to grow the practice.
