Snowflake Developer

Role & Responsibilities

The Snowflake Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining scalable Snowflake database solutions. The role involves writing and optimising SQL queries, views, stored procedures and data models, while ensuring performance, scalability, cost efficiency and data security. The candidate will collaborate with business, analytics and AI teams to understand data requirements, support data warehousing initiatives, and provide clean, structured and reliable data for AI/ML and Generative AI applications. The role will also involve troubleshooting, production support and contributing to solution design and continuous improvement.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 57 years of overall IT experience, with at least 35 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, query optimisation, data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake features such as Time Travel, Cloning, Data Sharing, Streams, Tasks and RBAC.
• Moderate understanding of AI/Generative AI concepts, including LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG and AI-powered analytics.
• Understanding of enterprise data platforms and their integration with AI/ML solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Snowflake or AI-related certifications and Agile/Scrum experience will be an added advantage.
