Job Title: Snowmaker

Reports To: Snowmaking Manager, Operations Manager

Job Purpose: To set up snow guns and equipment to make snow on the hill and to maintain satisfactory snow conditions throughout the season.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Check all snow gun equipment to ensure it meets operating standards
• Set up hoses and fans/guns in accordance with snow making plan and follow all snowmaking protocols as learned in training
• Operate various electrical and pressurized air and water equipment to produce quality snow
• Perform minor maintenance duties as required
• Operate various types of motorized equipment on and off the mountain
• Perform all tasks safely and abide by all mountain rules and regulations
• Understand all company employee policies

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have complete understanding, after training and testing, of the mechanical principles of the snow guns and all safety procedures
• Able to multitask in a fast, paced environment
• Must be punctual, meticulous and reliable

Working/Physical Conditions:

• Outdoors, in possible extreme weather conditions
• Overnight shifts, possible holidays
• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
• Must be able to lift heavy objects
• Possess suitable clothing that is appropriate for anticipated and actual weather conditions
