SOC Analyst (Tier 1)
Summary
Monitor security alerts, triage incidents, and respond to threats using Microsoft Defender and Sentinel in a commercial SOC environment.
Salary: £25,000 - 30,000 per year
Requirements:- Previous experience working within a Security Operations Centre (SOC)
- Ideally around 1-2 years of commercial SOC experience
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel is highly desirable
- Good understanding of security monitoring and incident response
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team
- Monitor and investigate security alerts and incidents
- Perform incident triage and escalate where appropriate
- Support incident response and threat intelligence activities
- Work closely with senior analysts during security investigations
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of SOC processes and detection capabilities

We are a leading SOC organisation looking for a Tier 1 SOC Analyst to join our growing Security Operations Centre in Doncaster. This is a hybrid role with a starting salary of 25,000 basic plus a 20% shift allowance, with an OTE of around 30,000. You will begin with Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm training, then move onto a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern covering days and nights. We work with modern Microsoft security technologies in a fast-paced operational environment and offer the opportunity to develop within a collaborative security team.
