JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a creative and enthusiastic student at Colorado Mesa University with a passion for social media and content creation? We are seeking talented individuals to join our team as Social Media Content Creators! This position is perfect for students who love being in front of the camera, can recreate trends, and have strong video editing skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Video Creation: Recreate video ideas and trends provided by the Social Media Strategist. Be proactive in suggesting and implementing new trends and ideas.
  • Man-on-the-Street Interviews: Conduct and film engaging “Man-on-the-Street” style interviews. Edit and produce these videos for our social media platforms.
  • Event Coverage: Attend university events to capture real-time photos and videos for Instagram Stories and other social media platforms.
  • Campaign Videos: Develop and create narrative-style video concepts for various campaigns, without predefined examples.
  • Highlight Videos: Produce highlight videos showcasing different buildings, departments, amenities, student life, and more around the university.
  • Day in the Life Videos: Create engaging "Day in the Life" videos that provide insights into student life at CMU.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using CapCut, TikTok, Instagram, and/or any other mobile video editing and content creation platforms.
  • Creativity: Ability to bring new ideas and trends to the table, along with a proactive approach to content creation.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to cover events and produce content in real-time, as well as work on various video concepts and highlight projects.
  • Time Management: Ability to complete projects promptly, often within 2-3 days or immediately as required.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with the Social Media Strategist and other team members.
  • Enrollment: Must be enrolled as a student at Colorado Mesa University.
