Social Media & Content Manager (Part-time)
Zipdev is a staffing and talent solutions company helping U.S. and Canadian businesses build high-performing teams with top remote professionals from Latin America.
Since 2015, we’ve helped companies access incredible talent across Latin America while simplifying the recruiting and hiring process. Along the way, we’ve accumulated years of stories, client experiences, hiring insights, industry data, lessons learned, and opinions about what actually works when building great teams.
Now, we want to do a much better job sharing that experience with the world.
We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and highly proactive Part-Time Social Media & Content Manager to build and own Zipdev’s organic social content engine.
This isn’t a role where we hand you finished content and ask you to post it.
We have the expertise. We need you to help us get it out of our heads and into the world.
This is a 20-hour-per-week role designed for someone who thrives on organization and enjoys the intersection of wellness, technology, and marketing. You will be the engine behind our content distribution, ensuring that every video, post, and DM is sent on time and tracked with precision.
Content Strategy & Creation
- Own and manage Zipdev’s organic content strategy and monthly content calendar across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and potentially additional platforms over time.
- Work directly with our CEO to uncover stories, opinions, client pain points, recruiting lessons, data, industry trends, and experiences worth sharing.
- Coordinate and lead recurring content sessions, typically once or twice per month, to batch-create content.
- Come prepared with topics, questions, hooks, and ideas rather than waiting for our CEO or the team to tell you what to create.
- Remotely direct recordings and provide guidance on framing, lighting, audio, delivery, and pacing when needed.
- Interview other Zipdev team members, clients, or subject-matter experts when there is an opportunity to uncover a great story.
- Stay current on social trends and recommend new formats, topics, platforms, and experiments.
Production & Repurposing
- Personally edit raw video into polished, engaging short-form social content.
- Turn longer recordings into multiple pieces of content across different platforms and formats.
- Identify strong hooks, stories, quotes, and insights within raw conversations and footage.
- Write posts and captions that sound authentic to our CEO and Zipdev rather than generic corporate or AI-generated content.
- Repurpose ideas into LinkedIn posts, Reels, carousels, graphics, quote posts, and other useful formats.
- Create simple, polished social graphics, thumbnails, covers, and carousels when needed.
- Use AI and creative tools thoughtfully to improve research, ideation, editing, writing, and productivity.
We don’t need Hollywood-level production. We need content that feels professional, current, platform-native, and human.
Publishing, Engagement & Growth
- Own the day-to-day management and publishing of content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Manage the content calendar, scheduling, formatting, tagging, and distribution.
- Keep raw footage, finished assets, captions, and content ideas organized.
- Monitor comments, messages, mentions, and new followers.
- Engage thoughtfully with our audience and identify potential clients, candidates, partners, and other valuable relationships.
- Surface high-value conversations that our CEO or another Zipdev team member should personally engage with.
- Track performance and use the data to recommend what we should create more of, less of, or differently.
Our focus is organic content and audience growth, not paid advertising.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing organic social media and content for a founder, executive, company, agency, or personal brand.
- Demonstrated experience building or operating a repeatable content engine, not simply publishing individual posts.
- Strong hands-on experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Experience turning raw or long-form video into engaging short-form content.
- Intermediate video editing skills and the ability to personally take content from raw footage to finished post.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to learn and maintain another person’s voice.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, hooks, pacing, and what makes people stop scrolling.
- Comfortable directing content remotely and working directly with senior leadership.
- Experience with social scheduling, publishing, analytics, and tools such as Meta Business Suite.
- Comfortable using AI tools as part of the content creation process.
- Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, curious, and comfortable working independently.
- Strong English communication and writing skills.
- Strong understanding of U.S. business culture and the ability to create content that resonates naturally with U.S.-based business owners, executives, and hiring leaders.
- Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who has done this before and can help drive the process rather than waiting for us to drive it.
Nice to Have
- Graphic design skills and experience creating social graphics, carousels, and thumbnails.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Experience with founder-led or executive thought leadership.
- Proven experience growing an audience organically.
- Experience turning social engagement into conversations, relationships, or inbound opportunities.
- Familiarity with B2B services, recruiting, staffing, remote work, entrepreneurship, or founder-led brands.
Show Us Your Work
We care as much about what you’ve done as what you tell us you can do.
Please share examples of relevant work, such as:
- Social accounts, founders, or brands you’ve managed.
- Short-form videos you’ve personally edited.
- Raw footage you turned into finished content.
- LinkedIn posts or social copy you’ve written.
- Carousels, graphics, or other visual content you’ve created.
- Results you helped produce, including audience growth, engagement, reach, conversations, traffic, or leads.
Be prepared to explain your specific role in creating those results.
We may also provide a piece of raw content during the interview process and ask you to show us what you see in it.
We want to understand how you think, not just how you edit.
