Uplift

Open 15d

Social Media & Content Manager

Discussion

Uplift is a small, remote software agency that designs and builds products for our clients. We do great work, and we want more people to hear about it. That’s where you come in: we’re looking for a part-time marketing person to help us tell our story consistently on social media, on our website, and in video.

This is a contract role at roughly 5 to 10 hours per week, fully remote, US-based.

Responsibilities

  • Create 2 to 3 social media posts per week, primarily on LinkedIn
  • Write and edit content for our website, including blog posts and new pages as needed
  • Draft scripts for short marketing videos, and record some yourself if you’re interested
  • Put together richer pieces when they help: case studies, simple infographics, and posts that present data
  • Help shape a lightweight content calendar so all of the above stays consistent
  • Eventually, create and manage ad campaigns on LinkedIn and other channels

What we’re looking for

  • Solid writing instincts: you can make technical work clear and approachable
  • Experience with social media engagement, growing traffic/impressions/reactions is a big plus
  • Experience running social accounts for a company or brand is nice to have, but not required
  • Comfortable turning rough notes from founders and engineers into finished content
  • Self-directed: you can plan your week, propose topics, and ship without much oversight
  • Bonus: basic video editing and image or graphic design skills

There is no years-of-experience requirement for this role. We care about what you’ve made: show us anything you’ve written, posted, or produced.

Details

  • Part-time contract: typically 5 to 10 hours per week
  • $25 to $40 per hour, depending on experience
  • Remote, US-based

How to apply

Use the application form below. In your message, include:

  • If you have them, links to social accounts you’ve run or posts you’re proud of
  • Links to a writing sample or two: blog posts, website copy, or video scripts
  • A few sentences about you and your weekly availability
