BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

WFP Seoul Global Office (SEO) is looking for a Social Media, Digital Advocacy and Outreach Coordinator who can strongly advocate for WFP’s mission and raise WFP’s profile in ROK by optimizing ROK’s vibrant social network systems with relevant and impactful digital content that will resonate with the Korean public. The consultant will report to SEO’s Partnerships Officer and work in close coordination with the APARO and GHQ CAM.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive):

Assist in developing social media plans and editorial calendar aligned with WFP's global advocacy & fundraising campaigns.

Curate, produce, and manage high-quality/high-impact digital content – including graphics, videos, and written posts – for SEO’s social media channels, website, and email newsletters.

Track performance metrics, analyze audience insights and trends in digital platforms including portals, search engines etc. to optimize SEO’s digital engagement strategies.

Monitor online and social media trends/conversations, providing timely and relevant updates to enhance audience engagement and assist in managing reputational risks in the digital space.

Support the design and implementation of SEO event planning and coordination (e.g. public campaigns, ceremonies, exhibitions, pop up events etc.) led by SEO’s public and private sector partnerships teams.

Assist in WFP Goodwill Ambassadors relationship management with a particular focus on identifying campaigns and digital content creation opportunities to maximize outreach and public engagement.

Identify opportunities to engage with new influencers, social media groups and creative agencies etc.

Collaborate with cross-functional team members on content ideas with the aim of creating dynamic, impactful and differentiated content.

Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education:

University degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or other relevant field.

Experience:

At least 1 year of professional experience in social media platform management, digital marketing and content creation.

Knowledge & Skills:

Proven work experience in social medial, digital marketing and content creation.

Good understanding of social media KPIs and digital marketing performance analysis.

Ability to deliver creative and high-quality digital content.

Ability to write compelling social media copy.

Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video editors preferred.

Languages:

Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, Korean
