Social Media Manager
The Role:
You own every Olivier account end to end — what goes out, when, and what it looks like. Most of it is video: short cuts of member interviews, clips from our events, founder-facing pieces that make someone stop scrolling and go look up what Olivier is.
This is a production job, not a scheduling job. You will be shooting, cutting and shipping several times a week, and coordinating coverage for events in cities you are not in.
What you'll own:
The accounts:
Own the Olivier channels — Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube Shorts — including the calendar, the voice, and what we do and do not publish.
Set a weekly cadence and hold it. On every one of these platforms, consistency beats occasional brilliance.
Reply to comments and DMs, and route genuine membership enquiries to the right person rather than answering them yourself.
Shoot, cut and publish short-form video: Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts.
Turn member interviews and event recordings into clips that stand on their own — hook inside two seconds, subtitled, sized correctly for each platform.
Build repeatable formats rather than reinventing every post. A format that works three times is worth more than three good one-offs.
Plan coverage before each member event: what needs filming, who films it, and what the shot list is.
You will not be in the room for most of them. Brief whoever is — a member, an organiser, a local freelancer — specifically enough that the footage comes back usable.
Turn each event into a set of publishable assets within a week of it happening.
Work with the PR & Content Associate to turn magazine interviews and member spotlights into social-native pieces. They own the words; you own how those words travel.
Keep a running bank of raw material — clips, quotes, stills — so the calendar is never empty and no week depends on something new being filmed.
Report monthly on what actually worked: reach, saves, shares, profile visits, follows, and enquiries that arrived through social.
Kill formats that do not perform, and say so plainly rather than quietly repeating them.
A published cadence held without gaps on every active channel.
Short-form output per week, and how much of it is built from real member and event material rather than generic ideas.
Saves and shares ahead of raw follower count — those are the signals that a founder found it useful.
Event assets published within seven days of each event.
Membership enquiries that can be traced back to social.
1–3 years running social accounts for a business, not only your own. Work that shipped, with links.
You edit video yourself. CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci — we do not care which, but this part cannot be delegated out of the role.
A real feel for what performs on LinkedIn versus TikTok, and the judgment not to post the same cut to both.
Strong written English. Captions and hooks are most of the copy you will write, and they are in English.
Organised enough to run a calendar and a shot list across several time zones and events you are not attending.
Comfortable directing someone else's filming remotely, and specific about what you need back.
Startup, VC or founder-facing content experience, and an instinct for what that audience takes seriously.
Motion graphics or design in Figma, After Effects or Canva.
Having grown a B2B or professional-audience account from a small base.
A second language — our members span twelve countries.
